Life can be tough. That is why I developed an ENTIRE practice devoted to talking about it. I'll use humor and compassion so we can talk about what it means to be human.
People often ask me if this job is hard. Well, it is. Not because of the clients, but because it also serves as my own path toward self-understanding. In school, we are taught to be blank slates, but the truth is that our attitudes, beliefs, thoughts, and emotions, as therapists, directly impact how we work with clients. In this field, the work is never really done. It is constantly evolving and unpredictable. I am continually amazed at the creativity, resilience, strength, and healing power of clients.
My therapeutic style involves walking alongside you on your path toward radical self-discovery. I utilize a diverse treatment approach that's down-to-earth and incorporates various practices tailored to your individual needs. My goal in therapy is to help provide you with an opportunity to find yourself through healing and balance. I help to facilitate your growth through a process of relaxed, open, supportive, and genuine dialogue.
My practice emerges from a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and interpersonal lens of empowerment. Our work will be informed with relational, cultural, anti-oppressive, systemic, social justice, decolonizing, and non-pathologizing contextual awareness.
